On Thursday, May 17th 2007, the White House and Senate Democrats reached a deal that would grant millions of illegal aliens in the country legal status through a Z visa. The agreement which also mandates tougher border security and workplace enforcement is drawing criticism from both political parties, and faces an uncertain future in the Senate, which will start debate on the new proposed bill on Monday.
